Our Charity. Our Community.
Every month, we provide sustainable hampers filled with food essentials to help families get through the month. These hampers don’t just fill stomachs, they give children the strength to attend school, focus, and thrive. For parents, it’s a weight lifted, knowing they can feed their children and keep hope alive.

What We Do
For the past two years, FIFO has diligently worked to make a tangible difference in the lives of families across Trinidad. Each month, the organization distributes food hampers to families identified through schools in each School District across the country.
Our Story
The Friends Improving Families Outlook (FIFO) Foundation began with one person’s desire to help, our founder, Shiva Ramnarine, who started by putting together food hampers on his own for families struggling to afford basic groceries at the Macaulay Primary Government School. But this wasn’t meant to be a solo effort for long. He encouraged friends and colleagues to join him, and soon, a small act of kindness grew into something bigger.
Ongoing Cause
In a country where unemployment and hardship are real and growing challenges, the FIFO Foundation stands as a reminder that when people come together, we can make life a little easier for those who need it most.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life of families within communities who are unable to satisfy their basic nutritional needs. This will be achieved through partnership with local schools and community organizations to identify families in need and distribute food hampers. Ultimately satisfying the holistic well-being of those whom we serve.
Mission

FIFO’s vision is to bring a sense of hope and support to those who need it most through our selfless acts of kindness by providing assistance to families in an effort to reduce the burden of food insecurity and other challenges within communities, helping them achieve a better quality of life, fostering their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
